Post 16 Curriculum

General:

Students will be provided with comprehensive guidance during Year 11 in order that they make appropriate course choices for Post 16 study, based on their career aspirations, interests and likely GCSE grades.

Where students are predicted to achieve at least five GCSE Grade 5-9 or equivalent will gain access to Level 3 study at Rodillian Sixth Form.

Students are advised to study three subjects. It is possible that a small number of students may opt to study four subjects. The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is available to all students as part of our enrichment offer.

Employability and Enrichment Opportunities:

All students will be interviewed at the start of Year 12 and a personalised guidance plan put in place according to interest and need. This may involve work experience, mentoring, volunteering, trips and visits, events or widening participation programs. This will be coordinated by the Sixth Form team.

Admission:

5 GCSEs at grade 5-9 (or equivalent) including English and Maths.

Progression:

Courses are linear and therefore two years. Students will be expected to progress to University, higher level apprenticeships or employment.
