Primary Schools Coaching

The Rodillian Rugby Programmes Primary School Club culminated in a Tag Rugby Tournament on Wednesday 25th March, with 5 schools attending from the local area. Supported by a crowd of parents, the students performed incredibly well, attacking space and moving the ball with accuracy and fluency. The teamwork and communication skills employed were superb and the students were a credit to their staff and schools. Thanks must go to the teachers of the Primary Schools for supporting the Primary School Club and to the Rodillian Rugby coaching staff and Young Rugby Leaders (five Year 9 students) for organising and coaching at the club. Robin Hood Primary School came out eventual winners after a hard fought final against Thorpe Primary School. It is hoped that a large number of the students who have attended the club will continue playing rugby union and come to The Rodillian Academy in the future to join the Rodillian Rugby Programme.
