Resilience Camp 2013
New school, new friends, new teachers and then away with the whole year group on Resilience camp; our new year 7 cohort got off to a flying start.
Students spent three days away camping in Brighouse at the end of September to encourage and build resilience in our young learners. With this in mind, students were responsible for pitching and looking after their own tents as well as taking part in a whole host of activities set to challenge and help develop communication and team skills. Year 7 completed crystal maze type challenges, orienteering, made cheese in the woods, raft building, canoeing, kayaking and survival skills.
For many, just the simple challenge of staying away from home for the first time showed just how resilient our year 7 can be. A fantastic achievement!
