Year 7 County Cup Final Success!

Rodillian started the first half attacking up the hill and managed to put several good phases together which resulted in extended pressure on the Wolfreton line. However, penalties began to creep in allowing Wolfreton to establish a platform and if not for a try saving tackle by Kyle Andrews they would have scored the opening try. Several big carries by Ben Farrar and Harry Duffy led to good forward momentum, the latter eventually crashed over midway through the half, with the help of Rhys Bradley and Lewis Kelly. Towards the end of the first half the stout Rodillian defence cracked and Wolfreton went over in the corner.

The second half started in much the same way as the first with sustained pressure from the lads. Wolfreton began to crumble, which eventually led to Lewis Longthorn rumbling over in the corner after the backs exhibited some great hands. Upon conceding Wolfreton gained a second wind but superb turnover work by several of the lads particularly Joe Littlewood stopped them in their tracks. Wolfreton again tested the defence but this time managed to score under the posts to even up the game. The tug of war continued but after some superb territorial play by Harvey Williamson, Rodillian stole a line out and Joe Littlewood went scooting over to seal the victory for Rodillian.
