Senior Maths Challenge – Promising Maths Stars!

On Thursday 5th November five pupils were entered into the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. The four Year 12 pupils who study Further Mathematics A-level and one pupil from Year 11. Although the academy have entered pupils in lower years into the Junior & Intermediate Challenge, this is the first time we have entered the harder Senior Maths Challenge. We are very proud to say that Cameron Prescott and Hon Yin Lai achieved Silver certificates with Elliot Boyer and Emmanuel Leo achieving Bronze certificates. In addition, an extra special mention goes to Molly Green, our year 11 pupil who entered. The day before the challenge, Molly was given last year’s paper to take a look at. The next morning she decided she wanted to try the challenge and gained a Bronze certificate. This ranked her in third position as she narrowly missed out on a Silver certificate.

100% Certificate success!

Well done to the promising mathematicians of the future.
