This is a new course that is designed to enable students to understand the world we live in today. The same topics and key questions are studied at the same time across History, Geography, RE and Media.  Students look at issues in the work today and then investigate events from the past to try to ascertain the effect they have had on today and if there are lessons to be learnt from the past that would help us navigate through the world today.

Rodillian Academy has been awarded the National Quality Assurance Mark for Holocaust Education by University College London from 2017-2020.  We were the third school nationally to have achieved the award and there have been only four schools to date.  As such, we are a Beacon school for Holocaust Education and lead the Trust with training and development on the subject.  We also provide training, development and resources to other schools nationally.
