Three days of theatre were performed before the half term break. Cats was on the agenda and much fun and entertainment ensued.

‘CATS’, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical is based on a book of T.S. Eliot poems.

A group of cats prowl a junkyard and compete for the honour of ascending to the cat heaven: The Heaviside layer. Once there they will be reborn to enjoy another of their nine lives.

Letter from the head for all those that attended one of the performances:

Dear Guests
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Rodillian
Academy to enjoy our school production of Cats. The School’s long tradition of drama and music goes back to the first year the school opened in 1933, when the school of 70 pupils first put on a Christmas performance. Over time, the numbers of pupils involved may have changed but their desire to entertain, enthusiasm and talent remains the same.

This year’s show has again involved a wide range of staff and students, who have come together to provide you with a night’s worth of toe-tapping entertainment. Their hard work and dedication are a credit to Rodillian Academy and I am extremely proud of everyone involved.

I know that everyone involved tonight will remember this production for the rest of their lives.

I am confident you will enjoy the show. Thank you for your continued support.
Andy Goulty
