Another Rodillian Win

The Year 8 Rodillian Rugby squads competed in the RFU Emerging Schools competition on the 26th September at Pontefract Rugby Club. With a number of late cry – offs, the Rodillian squads played Kings School, Pontefract and Garforth School. Although the weather was appalling, the standard of rugby was excellent and every one of the Rodillian players who attended had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The Rodillian A team came out eventual winners after playing some accurate and fast flowing rugby.

The Year 7 Rodillian A and B squads travelled to Pontefract Rugby Club on Thursday 3rd October to compete in their first RFU Emerging Schools Tournament. With over 30 boys attending, an A and B squad were able to compete against Kings School, Pontefract, Garforth School and Carleton School. The matches were of a superb standard and all players performed very well. The Rodillian A team came out eventual winners, beating all of the other schools and the Rodillian B team. This tournament provided a superb environment in which the players could compete and execute a number of skills under pressure within a match environment.

Well done to all of the boys in both Year 7 and Year 8 and thank you to all of the supporters who travelled to Pontefract Rugby Club in support of the Academy sides.
